Formality

So when does the time come for you to stop being (c)rude to someone u have always been (c)rude to? that you pause and think before you say something? that you discover that he/she too may sit over some judgment...that what you say would (finally) carry some import! that basically you better be more FORMAL now!
is that good or bad?
